Forgive me LJ for I have not post...

So hazy

Blah, blah, blah....mundane stuff....blah, blah, blah...work....blah, blah, blah...gym....blah, blah, blah...

I don't usually keep this updated because most of my social outtings are, once again, been taken over by Facebook. I'm thinking of shutting down one of the sites I used to frequent. But it all comes down to here. I'll think it over if I wish to continue here or not...

Day 2 of being a married woman

  • Jan. 29th, 2008 at 7:39 AM
Fate is here to stay

I'm still getting used to the fact that I am now an official married woman. The fun-fun rollercoaster is still going but I dread that I have to return to work like a dead zombie. WHOOSH!

To sum up our wedding day...

- Tea Ceremony went without a hitch...except that Suri and I didn't get ready after 7pm. Oops.
- The Civil Ceremony was beautiful at the Chinese Gardens despite that I screwed up on our vows. Go sleepy me.
- Yum-Cha at Zilvers was oh-so-oishi~!!
- Reception was OK. But some of my mum's friends were (a bit - what an understatement) conservative as we like to keep things personal. But eh! They can talk whatever they like because our wedding is not a formal affair but its got our personal touch. The speeches made by the best man, Mo and new hubby, Trevor were very touching.
- My new cousin, Hugo. He is absolutely adorable and looks like a tiny sumo. Aaaaaaw he is so cute. <3

Set backs are...

- My bouquet and button holes for the bridal party were supposed to be picked up on the day BUT the girl at the florist near home screwed our days up when we made the order just a week ago. I wasn't that impressed to be honest. To compensate from the mix up, we received them all delivered to the gardens free of charge. However, the ribbon used is white which I can't use for personal reasons so I end up using my fake bouquet as back-up which was used on the pre-shoot.
- Yum-cha. Two things happened there and was only told about this yesterday afternoon. First, the room reserved for us was filled up by customers due to a miscommunication with the manager and staff. Nice one. >.< Second, My poor Grand-Auntie. Whilest settling into her seat, some wait boy removed the chair under her and she fell. I didn't see it but everyone did. In the end, mum got $100 off the bill due to the two incidents.
- No veil, no show. Enough said. I was slipping into my wedding gown and couldn't find the veil. I told mum and she went, "SHIT!" Mum called the wedding gown people but to no avail. I went through the entire day without the veil and used my tiara instead. When I returned the dresses yesterday, I got $20 back because of the missing veil. Even the staff who tended my dress were very apologetic over the incident.
- One word: Martin. Causing trouble behind my back and I wasn't happy what he had done to my poor guests. I'm surprised no one corrected him on the spot for what he had done. -_-

Overall, I managed to survive the big day and I still need to catch up on sleep. Back to bed I go.

I ain't no morning person
Only three more sleeps to go. BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!

In other news, Heath Ledger died yesterday morning. Reaction from the news, "Shit." D: Loved him in Brokeback Mountain and he will be sadly missed for his talent rather then the media driven crock that they portrayed him.

DIE FUCKER!
And now, something fun for all: Only five more seeps until I'm a married woman. Whoopdee-doo~!!!

That and my bridezilla alter-ego decided to run amok all over town. -_-
Fly high
After a decade under the rule of The Liberals, the winds of change has finally appeared. Last night, after awaiting results and celebrating Matt's birthday, Labor won. Can I say, "SHOVE IT IR LAWS!" BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOYAH!!!

So many great things happened in one month alone: Permanant employment AND The Labor party winning the coalition election. Looks like all my chistmases came at once. YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEHAW!!!!

Welcome to a beautiful and refreshing Labor morning.

Stressed T_T

Baka me didn't see that coming last night.

My SD card is now deaded due to leaving my card in the USB driver for too long. It became so hot to touch, I had to remove it. Luckily it didn't melted so I left it out for a five minutes to cool it off before slipping it into the DS adaptor. Tested on my DS to see if I can still play with it and check that all the games I recently downloaded into the card are still in tact. All I got was this...

"Loading..."

Stayed that way for as long as I can remember and in the end, took it out from the DS and tested on the laptop. Instead of my name popping up and such, it pops up as "Removable Disc (G:)". Clicked on it and that's where I know that my card is dead. "Please Insert Removable Disc (G:)" Grrrrrrrr! Thought there'd be another way to retrieve the data saved on it so I went to my brother and he had a look at it as well. The same conclusion shows, dead card equals data saved on the card: lost. My reaction: OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!!!!!!!!!!

Now my DS is without a micro SD and no games to play with. T_____T

So. Dead. Tired. La. La. Yeah.

Saturday:

Suri-chan came by to try out her dresses for the big day. Still no sign of a princess gown I'm after for the evening but fun part is seeing all the pwetty dresses on display. Had a funny feeling that Piccy-Inu would glomp her on the day and night. D: Went home and finally Kyo and Yuki get to play with us. Apart that Yuki has a tendency to runaway. Bad kitty!

Went to pick up Steve and Jacky along the way; remind me NOT to take the King Georges route after 5pm. XP Had dinner at Randwick with Isky, Mark, Matt. Haven't had Indonesian in a long time but wouldn't mind going back for more of it. Was very annoyed that we have to eat real quick so we could be at the CSE revue earlier otherwise the doors will be closed on the dot. WTF?!? Made it just in time at the Figtree Theatre. Now, who said they close on the dot???? >.>

First time I ever sat and watched the revue, the main story was a bit of a draw back BUT the sketches and the voice in-betweeners compensate the entire night. Best sketch ever: nekkid man with pillow hiding his manhood. Did I mentioned there was a hint of yaoi as well? Oh. My. Gawd. GIMME! GIMME! GIMME! Bumped into Sharon whom I haven't seen since the last yum cha event.

Afterwards, headed over to Double Bay for Max Brenner. Was actually gawking over at MaxMara, Christian Copenhagen, Gary Castle shoes and Evelyn Miles as we walked towards the cafe. I want all them pwetties. T____T Should've known better that weekends equals massive crowds. Completely filled to the brim (and suggested that they should expand the site to two levels instead), we went across the road to a "small" cafe. Had an ice latte frappe to keep me awake longer. Wasn't too bad and the wedges are perfect: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside. Never leave Steve alone with the sugar sachets. Instant sugar rush FTW! XD Wait staff were OK BUT the asian guy was more of a dick. Think I'd call him nappy man the next time I see him. >:3

Stopped by at Steve's friend's place for her birthday. Too bad I didn't drank the nice wines the hostess have. T____T Dropped Steve at his place and went straight home, feeling buggered. One thing I have to endure the next morning is attending a church service for my dad as it marks the end of the mourning period. Didn't feel much for it but family comes first.

Sunday:

Woke up with only five hours sleep and still felt like shit. Church service was a family affair with only one of my parent's family friends came by to visit.

Came home and wanting to go straight to bed to catch up on loss sleep. After 1pm, slept for about three hours. Big mistake. >.<

Monday - Tuesday: Still felt like crap, fatigued and NOT happy with Trevor at the moment. Toreba no BAKA!!!!!

ITS THE FINAL COUNTDOWN!

Quick updates!

Two Saturdays ago...

- Last week spent the entire day at the city with Suri-chan, Piccy-Inu, Sutra and friend at the Art Gallery of NSW.
- Managed to get two corsettes at Paddy's Markets for our EGL kitty pirates. Will keep the people guessing for this one. >:3
- Indulged in Japanese nibblies and nya-mmy snackies purchased that afternoon for the evening festivities whilst watching a hilarious Japanese show called "Yama Onna, Kabe Onna".
- Almost mastered Guitar Heroes. Need more practice to get used to the controls and all.
- Spent an evening at Piccy's place for a funny vampire flick. Got my doubts booted off as its the funniest flick ever. I raise your small sword to a saber!

A five-day lead up to APEC...

- Counting down to the long weekend, not happy with the barriers being put up near work.
- Got scared when I heard jets flying overhead when thinking its a missile heading our way. D:
- I want the Para-Para game for PS2. (Edit: Down to two items left on eBay. NOOOOOO~!!!)
- Had a farewell afternoon tea for a work colleague and went drinkies over at The World bar, Kings Cross. I like the concept of cocktails in teapots. That is cool! Although, I won't be near the Long Island Ice Tea for a while. That got me going weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee~!!!!!!

Long weekend!

Friday...

- Slept in a bit, went to Cabramatta to see and try out a few dresses in the lead up to the wedding. Manage to accomplish the wedding gown, evening gown and the Vietnamese wedding set in one day. XP Scored shoes for the wedding for fraction of the pretty ones I have seen at bridal exhibitions and magazines
- Designated the role of Maid of Honour to Suri-chan as Annie is tied with other factors beyond our control. BUT designs for the invitation is going to be full on and will be sending them out next month. SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT!

Saturday...
- Organised Pho night with Piccy-Inu, Suri-chan, Steve, Orion and Uke-chan.
- Everyone ended up enjoying pho and dutch pancakes whilst playing Singstar. Need more desserrt wine though. XD

Sunday...
- Kept thinking it was Saturday
- Didn't do much but ended up having an anime marathon and caught up to Bleach 139, Lucky Star and Negima. Wanted to huggle that ferret mascot for some odd reason. O.o

Monday...
- Monday-itis hit me big time. XP
- Having a stiff neck + desk work = OENDAN!!!!

RAWR!!!!!

Unexpected birthday shindig with family.

  • Aug. 8th, 2007 at 8:44 AM
To be continued
Well, I didn't expected a few things on my actual day yesterday.

I had my lil birthday party at work with no cake but only cheese and crackers, provided by the sweetest workmates ever and treated to a mocha by one of the registrars. They are absolutely sweet.

Went home and mum decided to take us all to Hog's Breath and invited Matthew, my first cousin and dad's representative (since he adores him when he was first born). Matthew told us that this is his first to go to Hog's Breath. Awwww~!!! Despite that I didn't asked for anything for this year's wishlist (even though I poked fun at my Oniichan in the US army that I wanted a military issue flamethrower XD), mum got me a pair of pearl earrings and pendent set presented in an ornament egg, painted with sirens outside. Will post pics of it tonight for sure. Ordered the usual vegetarian as last night marks the end of the vegan fest for daddy. Stuffed our faces, picked up pizza for Vince and headed straight home. Didn't turned the laptop on so went straight to bed instead.

Still need to get Yoshe's contact details ASAP as I've got her the cake, just need to see her before she goes back to her hometown. -3-

Edit: Will work on those photo requests when I get home after my acupuncture appointment. XP

I just realise that tomorrow is my birthday. To be honest, I have no plans for my 26th as it seems more of a silent affair since dad is no longer with us. Need to prepare a small cake so dad doesn't feel left out.

His birthday had past but I wanted him to share a piece of it in spirit.

So I haven't update...

  • Aug. 6th, 2007 at 11:06 AM
To be continued

I really have been slacking on the update department.

Last week, whilst fighting off the cold and flu, Friday marks the 49th day that my father's soul has come to realise he is no longer alive with us. So we ended up having a church service as a mark of respect to say that "he maybe gone with us, but you're with us in our hearts." Friday night consists of one big family reunion. Wish I was out but have to there for the family at least.

Weekend...

A boring shitty weekend consists of me visiting my accountant and doctors. What's worse is as I was about halfway home, mum called to say she wants both cars at the mechanic. I agreed as I left the car with the mechanic and getting measurements for my traditional Vietnamese wedding dress. I have to get imoutochan to come to pick the dress she wants and get her measurements in so they'll get her dress in before the big day. Afterwards, went back and feeling cold, numb and stiff (in the knee) because I hated being out at Cabramatta all day. So I went home to pick Trevor up and took him out for Hogs Breath and The Simpsons Movie. Best qoute ever, "I like boys now." XD

Yesterday...

Another uneventful day back in Cabramatta again. >< This time, went to a different doctor and was told that I have to come back next week to have my blood test next week. My reaction, WTF!?!

Highlights of last week: Finishing off Harry Potter & The Deathly Hallows. Saddened that some of the coolest people were killed off BUT hands down to Neville! Finally he gets to play the cool part in the series. YOU GO DUDE!

Lowlights: Succumbing to the cold and missing days off work. ie. days off = less pay. Whoopdee doo.... -_-

I hate...
Can't believe I did that!!!

Whilst three-quarters into my workout, I jumped in class and ended up (or what it felt like at the time), dislocating me knee. Tripped and ended up doing low impact till the very end. Limped all the way to Town Hall Station, thank god the gym is located at Galeries Victoria and calling my brother, mum and Trevor what happened. Have to put up with a bad knee and a overweight guy stench with urine (>.<). A pleasent journey home with an aroma of tang, alcohol and body odor du jour. D:<

Arrived at Blacktown as suggested by my mum despite that the cold air makes it even worse for my knee. We looked all around to find any medical center open so we ended up and god forbids, taking me to the emergency ward at Blacktown. I told mum that any emergency ward brings back bad memories of dad. She knows that but she told me straight that, "Whether you wish to fight your own demons is up to you. For now, let's go to the emergency ward now!"

As we arrived, it was as I remembered when I took my mum out there for a fraction years ago. I remember the instantanous wait from 9pm till 6am to undergo what appears to be a "lengthy procedure". To me, its a total amount of nuisence and got me to the state of irritation and annoyance from staff. However, as I showed my ID I didn't expect it to go through an x-ray and an examination in just three hours. O.O Either the system has changed or work flow has improved ever since that horrendous ordeal.

In the end, it turns out to be a sprain and will expect a few days of swelling around the region. Which means, I can't work out for a week or two. As Vince puts it, "You need more then two weeks to rest it off. Give it four weeks." My reaction, "OH NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOES!!!" I have been putting myself into a strict regime to get my body active and such but now I have to call Fitness First to hold my membership for a month.

That and I have to call in work that I'm on strict orders to rest my knee otherwise, the healing process will take more then two weeks. T____T

No fair. T___________T

A month's gone by...

Stressed T_T

It's been a month and a day since my dad passed away.

As mentioned, we have picked up the pieces but all that's left are memories of our father. Throughout the month, I've been depressed, moody and lost sufficient amounts of sleep. As Vince told me, "Too much thinking can give you more then just a headache." Really shouldn't have took yesterday off but my body says, "Rest...rest...REEEEEEEEEEEST!!!!!"

I could go on another break but that could resolve me running away from the reality of it all. Knowing dad, he'd tell me to face it, bite it, then go.

Something I picked up while I was at work...

It doesn't matter who my father was; it matters who I remember he was.

I signed up to Dance Online out of curiosity sake. Its live DDR!!!

If you're interested, sign up (its free!!) and find me in either beginner or intermediate. Although downloading the client cost me 500+ bandwidth. D: Anyways, once you've done the nitty-gritty-la-la, find my lil baby named ayumiyuki. :3 This is what I get for being insanely bored on Lineage 2. XP

I think my mentality just went out the window or denying the heartache and agony from the last weeks. Is it wrong to cry every night?

Update

  • Jul. 6th, 2007 at 2:56 PM
To be continued
Suppose to update this when I came back from Melbourne anyways...

IN BRIEF!

Saturday...
- Didn't had enough sleep as I was busy tending to things and packing as well. Shouldn't have brought my make-up kit though. XP
- Sydney T2 new ticketing check-in system for Virgin Blue is a mix reaction on where the lines end and such. Fortunately, managed to get out of the queue with only 30 minutes to kill time (Booo~!!!)
- Wanted a nice pair of D&G sunnies from the Sunglass Hut, but realised that I have a credit card to pay off. XP
- Arrived in Melbourne, frozen. Seen the real estate investor for properties within the area and fell asleep in her car. Oops. XD
- Checked into the hotel just within the CBD, looked around for the city gradually before seeing [info]slykura
for dinner and catch up.
- Went for Japanese Stonegrill once again and convinced [info]slykurato have it again with the Madman crew. XD
- Crashed into bed...

Sunday...
- Slept in = TEH WIN! But woke up feeling sad and depressed (More to add later...)
- Had a later breakfast, but the cafe I went too was shocking. How hard is it to concoct two slices of toast and mushrooms ready??? Instead, got me Grecian eggs which I didn't ordered. D:<
- Thought I lost one of my earring that my parents got for me on my 21st. Went back to the hotel and found it on the floor of one of the elevators: bent. Gah!!!
- Checked out the other apartments under our parent's name, turned out they are actually damn good. O.O
- Had coffee and cake slice at the National Gallery of Victoria; didn't get to see much of it as our day was packed.
- Went to the markets and ended up buying a Dutch pancake hot plate so I can make it for family and friends (and I'll invite you all later this month :3).
- Ended up watching Pirates of the Carribean 3: At World End; wasn't too bad but the ending was...well...
- Went back to the hotel and find out when the pool opens. Was so bored in the room I ended up watching soft-core porn. How sad am I...? >.<

Monday...
- Had an early swim before I had breakfast.
- Checked out of the hotel then straight to the airport; electronic check-in at Virgin Blue is so easy AND the queue was very small. Yay~!!!
- Came home and huggled Kyo and Yuki, being the cute kitties we raised.

Tuesday...
Another blurry day, still depressed and missing dad so much. Although not looking forward to going back to the eight hour drone.

Wednesday...
Came back to work, still lookng gloomy and sad. Everyone at work send their condolences and hugs all round. I'm touched. Thank you work mates! Bree, Team leader, pulled me aside and told me I was offered to go to Legal Support. I gladly accepted the offer which means...NO MORE FILING!!! WOOHOO!!!!!

Thursday...
Clearing my area for another person to come in my place. Meh! Received my Ayashi no Ceres DVD from Amazon. yay~!!! My first online purchase from the US. <3

Today...
Settled in my new desk with a multi-million dollar view. Wah~!!! Still feeling sluggish but will attend the gym tonight for sure. Lighter note, have been treated to lunch by Stuart (Stewie) and Cabral. Thanks for lifting my spirits dudes!!!!

There you have it folks...
